Experience:

An experienced civil and chancery barrister, James Rudall practises nationally, with much of his practise in London, Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff. He is highly regarded by solicitors and receives regular instructions to appear in the High Court and County Court to deal with complex and high-value cases.

James qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and undertook his bar equivalent exams and pupillage in 2004 and obtained full rights of audience in all Higher Courts in 2005.

Since 2005, James has regularly undertaken advocacy in the High Court and the County Court and is also experienced in undertaking advocacy in the HM Lands Tribunal. James also has experience in advocacy in the Employment Tribunal, the Coroners Courts representing families at inquests, and at Planning Tribunals and Appeals, and has attended the Magistrates' Court and the Crown Court in relation to quasi-civil matters involving breach of planning, licensing and environmental matters. James has also prepared appeals to the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
During 2017, whilst in full time practice, James undertook a master’s in law by research specialising in Company Law, Company Derivative Claims and Unfair Prejudice, and James is experienced on advising and representing shareholders and directors in dealing with unfair prejudice petitions, company derivative claims and corporate insolvency.
