Nicola Thompson secures firearms acquittal after retrial

Nicola Thompson, led by Genevieve Moss, has secured the acquittal of a man charged with possession of a firearm after a complex eight-week trial at Kingston Crown Court. He was tried alongside three men charged with attempted murder following a shooting in South London in February last year.
The defendant had previously been acquitted at his first trial of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition. He was then retried on the possession of a firearm when the first jury was unable to reach a verdict on that matter. Nicola was instructed by Anna Lockett Solicitor and Head of Crown Court Department at SVS Solicitors.
