Employment
Manus provides representation in all areas of employment law litigation. Prominent cases include successfully representing Gillingham Football Club in rebutting sex discrimination allegations in the highly publicised case of Church v Gillingham Football Club [2004] and representation for the London Borough of Ealing in Garry v Ealing LB [2001] IRLR 681 (CA) which related to knowledge of detriment in race discrimination claims. Areas of practice include:

Commercial/contractual
Representation in respect of all forms of contractual and commercial disputes, with particular emphasis on the law of agency and unfair terms in consumer contracts (Manus is co-author of "Unfair Terms in Consumer Agreements – The New Rules Explained" (Wiley Publishing, 1995)).
