Abdul has a general common law practice.
His criminal practice incorporates both prosecution and defence work. He appears at all levels and has particular expertise in the areas of fraud (especially benefit fraud, giro cheque fraud, and identity fraud), corruption, and confiscation.
On the civil side, Abdul’s practice is in line with chambers’ practice areas. That being said, he has particular expertise in employment law and residential property law.
Abdul’s clients include Government Departments (such as the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Health), Local Authorities, and private individuals.
During 2007-08, Abdul taught criminal law in the Faculty of Laws at University College London (UCL). He is currently completing a PhD in criminal law at UCL.
